This is a very interesting and unique angle and perspective. You don't see many shots taken like this and I think that this is well done. I would say that the over the shoulder perspective lends the shot a sense of intimacy and a sense of emotional depth that most other shots lack. The closeness to her and the direction of that closeness, for me, allow a connection to be made that much easier and for that connection to be that much stronger. Which, ultimately, yields a much stronger impact overall. The technical aspects of this photo are good too, but it's the emotional and intangible portions of this shot that make me say it's a winner.
